St. Kitts and Nevis Condemns Deadly Delhi Explosion, Expresses Solidarity with India
The BBC reported that on Monday evening, an explosion in a car killed 8 persons and injured over 20 others. It took place near the Red Fort Metro Station in India’s capital of Delhi. The police are still investigating what caused the blast, but India Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the “conspirators” will be brought to justice.
Published on Wednesday November 12th, 2025 the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis in a statement said: “The Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis express deep sorrow and unequivocal condemnation of the heinous act of violence that claimed the lives of at least eight people and injured many others near the Red Fort in New Delhi on Monday, November 10, 2025.”
Condolences were also expressed to the government and people of the Republic of India and “in particular, to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this senseless act. We also wish a full and speedy recovery to the injured.”
The statement concluded that St. Kitts and Nevis “stands in solidarity with India during this period of mourning” and reaffirmed its commitment to fighting global terrorism echoing the call of “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Indian leaders that those responsible must be brought swiftly to justice.”
