The month of February here in St. Kitts and Nevis is being observed as History and Heritage Month.
The federation is joining the rest of the world in paying homage or a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora.
The observance began on Saturday 1st February and will conclude on Saturday 29th February 2020 and is being held under the theme “The Life we lived the people we have become”
In an address to mark the month’s observance, Deputy Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Hon. Shawn Richards, outlined the importance of the observance to the federation.
Minister Richards noted that the twin island nation has much to be proud of and has been adjudged the best in the OECS on a number of occasions, including the area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Development.
