St. Kitts Ministry of Education gets first batch of laptops for School Laptop program

The St. Kitts Ministry of Education received the first batch of ASUS laptops, as part of efforts to reinstate the School Laptop program.

 

 

 

During a handing over ceremony which took place on Friday, March 10th, at the Education Department in St. Kitts, the laptops were officially handed over to the Federal Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley by the Taiwanese Ambassador to St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Michael Lin.

 

 

 

The ceremony also saw in attendance primary school students from schools such as the Dr. William Connor Primary, principals and education officers.

 

 

 

According to Junior Minister with responsibility for Youth in the Federal Cabinet, Hon. Isalean Phillip, the “laptop program in our public schools [is being implemented] to equip students with devices so they can stay abreast of learning in the digital age.”
