St. Kitts-Nevis High Command share crime fighting strategies with Regional partners

Crime Reduction Strategies and gang prevention efforts implemented here in St. Kitts and Nevis by law enforcement authorities have been shared with regional partners.

This when members of the High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) attended and made their presentation during a meeting organized in Barbados by the National Crime Agency of the United Kingdom

The meeting which was attended by Commissioner of Police Hilroy Brandy and Assistant Commissioner of Police McCarta Browne was centered on crime and security in the Caribbean with other topics discussed included the proliferation of firearms, homicides, gang culture and drug trafficking.

Attendees at the function discussed recommendations for how the approach could implemented in other Caribbean countries following the success experienced in St. Kitts and Nevis to date with the current strategy.

Those in attendance included to representatives of Regional Security Service Member States, as well as representatives from the Drug Enforcement Agency out of the United States of America, French Caribbean territories, Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago.
