St. Kitts & Nevis’ Ministry of Health ready “for 1st case” of Covid-19
As of Mar. 5th, 3353 people have died globally from Corona virus (Covid-19) and 97, 937 infected, most of the cases from China.
Earlier this week, French Guiana confirmed five cases of the coronavirus, two cases were confirmed in French St. Martin and one in St. Barthélemy (St. Barts). Recently, Dominican Republic recorded its 1st case of the virus.
The Federal Ministry of Health held a press conference on Monday Mar. 2nd, updating the nation about its preparedness for the virus. While there are no confirmed cases of the virus in SKN, Health authorities conducted a training session on Mar. 3rd, regarding contact tracing of Covid-19.
This is a process of identification of persons who may have come into contact with an infected person. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in the Ministry of Health, is Dr. Hazel Laws.
