St. Kitts receives inaugural cruise ship call from Vessel Arvia

As the Cruise Ship season continues, St. Kitts has yet again received another cruise call from the P&O Cruise vessel ‘Arvia’ on Monday, January 30th, 2023.

 

 

 

The ship was welcomed to the island by a contingent comprising of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Ms. Tivanna Wharton, Chief Executive Officer of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, Mr. Ellison Thompson and Port Services Manager for Delisle Walwyn, Mr. Olonzo Alexander.

 

 

 

Also wishing a warm welcome to the vessel was Federal Minister of Tourism, Hon. Marsha Henderson. The minister said and I quote: “Expanding our cruise-line partnerships is paramount to providing job opportunities for our people, and we continue to take the necessary steps to achieve such.” Arvia, which made its inaugural sail in December of last year, has a passenger capacity of 5,200.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, Nevis will expect its next cruise visit and first for the month of February, the vessel ‘Star Flyer’, on Sunday, February 5th, 2023. The island is expected to see a total of sixteen (16) Cruise ship calls during the month.
