St. Kitts Special Services Center holds “Autism, Education and Adulthood” Webinar 

The St. Kitts Special Services Center in collaboration with the Center for Holistic Advancement of Therapeutic Services will be holding a three part “Autism, Education and Adulthood” Webinar in commemoration of World Autism Month. 

 

 

“World Autism Month” traditionally celebrated in April, aims to provide opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with Autism, fostering worldwide support, according to autismspeaks.org. 

 

During the webinar sessions, guest speakers including: Sheryl Rosin, a Speech and Language Pathologist from Florida, USA and the Founder of the St. Kitts Special Services Center; Mona Gardner also a Speech and Language Pathologist; Josephine Claxton-Richardson, Director of the Special Services Center and others, will lend their expertise on intervention, education, therapy and inclusion of those living with and caring for people with Autism. 

 

The first session will be on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. on the topic – Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD): Diagnosis and Early Intervention. 

 

The St. Kitts Special Services Center which was officially launched on September 4th, 2018, aims to build a network of support for Autism in the federation that includes awareness, sensitivity, service training and treatment to aid children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families, as well as to support educators and the wider community in order to work collaboratively for these persons.
