St. Thomas Primary wins NCCU/SJCIC Primary Schools quiz competition

The St. Thomas Primary School was declared the winner of the Nevis Cooperative Credit Union/St. John’s Community Improvement Club (NCCU/SJCIC) Primary School Quiz Competition held on Friday, January 13th at NEPAC.

 

 

 

They amassed a total of 70 points across 4 subject areas.

 

 

 

The Ivor Walters Primary School placed 2nd after amassing 65 points while Charlestown Primary placed 3rd, amassing 60 points.

 

 

 

A total of 12 students participated from 6 schools across Nevis. The other participating schools were: the Joycelyn Liburd Primary, Elizabeth Pemberton Primary and the St. James’ Primary Schools.

 

 

 

Trophies were awarded to the schools that placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd and each participating school received cash prizes.

 

 

 

The event was organized as part of the NCCU’s 50th Anniversary celebrations in collaboration with the SJCIC and the Ministry of Education-Nevis.
