In observing International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction 2026, the Nevis Disaster Management Department (NDMD) is holding a week of activities, guided by the motto: “Resilience Starts at Home.”
Activities throughout the week included: a Staff Development Session on October 12th and a Public Outreach Campaign was held on October 13th. In a live broadcast, this was Director of the Nevis Disaster Management Department, Mr. Brian Dyer who told us more about the event:

Additionally, Mr. Dyer spoke about a major activity to culminate the week:
