On Friday, January 23^rd, 2026, Unite Caribbean, along with its Development Advisors and partners, hosted a high-level, one-day workshop at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park Visitors Centre to help finalize the Draft Waste Management Strategy and Action Plan.

Senior and administrative staffs from the Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority were joined by officials from the Ministry of Health, the Legal Department, the Department of Environment, Disaster Management, Physical Planning, and the Ministry of Tourism.

The session was facilitated by a team of experienced practitioners led by Mr. Ronald Roach and marked the culmination of earlier stakeholder consultations.

Organizers say stakeholder input remains critical to ensuring the strategy is practical, effective, and grounded in local realities as the Federation moves toward implementation.
