Nevis’ Department of Education is set to host STEM Week 2025.
As part of the activities, a Science Symposium will be held at the Nevis Performing Arts Centre (NEPAC) at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20th. A panel of professionals in Science will explore innovative ways in solving solutions on Nevis, educate the public on career opportunities surrounding the world of Science and examine how public-private partnerships can drive scientific innovation.
A STEM Challenge on Thursday, May 22nd is scheduled at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational (MGR) Park at 9:00 a.m. This challenge is an interactive quiz competition that is designed to test the knowledge and skills of primary and secondary school students in the areas of: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
This Friday (May 23rd), the department will present a STEM Expo also starting 9:00 a.m. at the MGR Park. During the Expo, the public will have a chance to view and experience several school projects, STEM Vendor exhibits and other interactive STEM activities.
The week of activities will be held under the theme: “STEM: Collaborate, Evaluate, Create and Solve!”
