The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially announced that applications are now being accepted for scholarships from the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba.
A total of twenty scholarships are being offered: seven in Medicine, seven in Bachelor of Nursing, four in Postgraduate Medicine, one in Health Technology and one in non-medical career.
Eligible persons must come from low income families. All applicants must submit a copy of their high school diploma or degree, a copy of their transcript, a health certificate inclusive of a negative HIV test and a negative pregnancy test for females, ten 1×1 inch size photos, police record and a birth certificate. The documents are to be accompanied by a legal Spanish copy.
Only persons who previously graduated from a Cuban university can apply for the postgraduate degree and individuals applying for the bachelor’s degree must be under 25 years of age.
