Sugar Mas 54 has delivered record results for Saint Kitts and Nevis, generating EC$29.5 million in economic activity – a 35.9 percent increase over the previous season’s EC$21.7 million.

The figures were highlighted during the official prize-giving ceremony, where outstanding individuals, troupes, bands, and creatives were recognized for their contributions to the national festival.

Beyond the celebrations, officials say this year’s Carnival reflected the highest-level structured investment to date. More than $700,000 was distributed in prize money and participation support. Over $250,000 went directly to private event promoters, another $250,000 was allocated to the Band Association, and more than $150,000 supported free downtown activities that benefited over 160 vendors.

The investment, they noted, was aimed at strengthening culture, creativity, and commerce while boosting tourism and employment across the Federation.

With record delivery this year, attention is already turning toward an even stronger Sugar Mas 55
