Sugar Mas 55 Schedule Released as Carnival Countdown Begins

The St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee has officially released the schedule for Sugar Mas 55, giving residents, nationals abroad and prospective visitors an early look at the Federation’s premier cultural festival.

 

Sugar Mas 55 will officially run from December 11th, 2026 to January 2nd, 2027 with national events beginning as early as November 20th and private events extending through January 3rd.

 

The calendar features a full slate of activities including the Senior Calypso Eliminations, Soca Monarch Finals, Folk Galore, Miss SKN Pageant, Panorama, J’ouvert, the Grand Parade and Last Lap.

 

A variety of private fetes, brunches, cruises and entertainment events are also scheduled throughout the season.

 

Organizers are encouraging the public to begin making plans for the carnival season, which is expected to attract large numbers of visitors and generate significant economic activity for local businesses, hotels, restaurants, vendors and taxi operators.

 

Officials say Sugar Mas remains one of the Federation’s most important tourism and cultural events, showcasing the vibrant spirit, music and traditions of St. Kitts and Nevis.
