A digital transformation initiative between Taiwan and Saint Kitts and Nevis is nearing a major milestone, as training for the Digital Identity Authentication Project moves toward completion ahead of a planned 2026 launch.
From January 26th to February 6th, government officials from Saint Kitts and Nevis participated in an intensive training programme in Taiwan, organized by the Taiwan ICDF Technical Mission and implemented by Taiwanese contractor International Integrated Systems, Inc. (IISI). The sessions provided a comprehensive overview of the system’s architecture, including database backup and redundancy design, alongside hands-on operational and development training.
Participants also received instruction in the application of Public Key Infrastructure toolkits, a critical component for developing secure certificate-based services to support the federation’s expanding e-government framework.
During the visit, officials met with Ambassador Donya L. Francis at the Embassy of Saint Christopher (Saint Kitts) and Nevis in Taiwan. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the project, describing it as a cornerstone for advancing digital governance.
