Saint Kitts and Nevis is preparing to welcome a delegation of young Taiwanese ambassadors from August 31st to September 3rd, 2026, as part of Taiwan’s International Youth Ambassadors Exchange Program.
The visit highlights the growing people-to-people ties between Taiwan and St. Kitts and Nevis, while giving young Taiwanese an opportunity to share their culture, talents and experiences with local communities.
During their stay, the ambassadors are expected to meet local officials and young people, participate in cultural activities and showcase Taiwan’s creativity and innovation.
Launched in 2009 by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government-funded program has brought more than 1,900 Taiwanese college and graduate students into international cultural and public diplomacy exchanges. Participants include young people with skills in English, performing arts and specialized areas such as: latte art, a tea ceremony and for the first time in 2026, drone technology.
The visit also presents a special opportunity for St. Kitts and Nevis to see young people from across the world connecting, exchanging ideas and building friendships. As Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung emphasized, “Everyone is a diplomat.”
The exchange promises to strengthen the friendship between Taiwan and St. Kitts and Nevis while inspiring a new generation of global-minded young leaders.
