In relation to the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, Taj Frederick, 27, of Crab Hill, Sandy Point, has been convicted and sentenced.
The Anti-Narcotics Unit conducted a routine stop and search on the Southeast Peninsula in St. Kitts on Monday, August 5th, 2024 where Mr. Frederick was stopped and searched driving motor vehicle PB2754. He was taken in custody along with two others after finding a 9mm luger pistol along with five matching rounds of ammunition.
Mr. Frederick was charged on August 7th, 2024 and pleaded guilty to both offences on March 28, 2025.
He was sentenced to six years imprisonment on each count to run concurrently.
According to the press release from The Police Force, Mr. Frederick’s full cooperation and unblemished record was acknowledged by the court and will be eligible for one third remission for good behavior and also adding that time already spent on remand will be deducted from his sentence.
