Tammy was upgraded to a Hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph.

The centre of Hurricane Tammy was located about over 300 miles southeast of St. Kitts and Nevis.

It is moving in a West-Northwest direction at 7 mph. It continues to approach our vicinity.

Disaster and Met officials have urged all to take all necessary precautions and put their disaster preparedness plans in place. All schools and Government offices across SKN closed at midday today.
