In the midst of dissatisfaction among the parties within the Team Unity Coalition, more concerns have come to fore and Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the People’s Action Movement (PAM), Hon. Shawn Richards has chosen not to remain tight-lipped about it:
His comments were made during CaribUpdate’s “Narrative” program on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022 hosted by Calistra Farrier.
Among the matters that have caused a “broken trust” between the parties are the two-term limit for a Prime Minister and Nevis’ “fair share” of the CBI monies.
The latter was one of the commitments made between the parties (PLP, CCM and PAM) according to the much-talked about Charlestown Accord.
Can the coalition forge ahead despite the issues?
When asked if the PM will be given an ultimatum as to keep the promises or step down or even call an election, Mr. Richards said:
