Ten individuals were honoured for their respective contributions to the development of Nevis during the Independence Ceremonial Parade and Ceremony.

The event took place at the Elquemedo T. Willet Park on September 19th and saw a number of uniformed bodies taking part in the parade, as well as dignitaries and residents viewing the event.

This year’s honorees were: Mr. Godwin Mike Brown in the field of Agriculture, Ms. Bernadette “Mem” Wallace in the area of Business, Mr. Courtney Bryant in Community Service and in the field of Construction was Mr. Kenneth Ferguson and Mr. Stedroy Pemberton.

Honoured in the field of Culture was Ms. Irma Johnson and Mr. Leroy Parris Jr, Mr. Dale Claxton in Entrepreneurship, Nurse Jessica Scarborough in Healthcare and Pastor Arthur Freeman in Religion.
