The Budget Debate commenced during a Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly on Wednesday Dec. 6th.

Member of Parliament for Nevis #4 and the Opposition, Hon. Dr. Janice Daniel-Hodge, made her rebuttal during the sitting, questioning some of the plans and policies in which the Government is proposing for 2024.

 

 

 

Later that afternoon, Member of Parliament for Nevis #1, Minister of Communications and Works et.al, Hon. Spencer Brand made his presentation speaking about his various portfolios and supporting the budget.

 

 

 

Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon. Mark Brantley introduced the Nevis Appropriation (2024) Bill 2023 on Tuesday, allowing him to deliver his Budget Address for 2024, under the theme: “Investing for Growth: Building the framework to support a Resilient and Sustainable Economy”. The Bill is to the tune of EC $282.7 million.
