The Cable to expand its footprint to Nevis in Partnership with the NIA

The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) has formalized a partnership with St. Kitts-Nevis Cable Communications Ltd. (otherwise known as The Cable).

The Cable is a telecommunications company situated in St. Kitts. Flow and Digicel have been Nevis’ telecommunications service providers for years. With the addition of The Cable, this will be the island’s third telecommunications service provider.

The agreement, signed on April 23rd marks the first time The Cable will extend its services beyond St. Kitts.

Premier of Nevis the Hon. Mark Brantley and CEO of The Cable, Patricia Walters, signed the agreement. According to a release from the NIA, The Cable will operate using the NIA’s locally owned fibre backbone.

Premier Brantley mentioned that this will allow the NIA to earn well-needed revenue.

The Cable will soon announce its first Nevisian customer, officially launching operations on the island.
