The Future of Tourism in St. Kitts and Nevis: Wellness, Culture, and Sustainability
The Future of Tourism in St. Kitts and Nevis: Wellness, Culture, and Sustainability
The latest edition of the Independence 42 Conversation Series featured tourism experts from St. Kitts and Nevis discussing the future of luxury tourism in the Federation.
It was highlighted that luxury today is no longer defined solely by opulence but by authentic experiences, cleanliness, and community pride.
Sustainability was a key focus, highlighting concerns about littering and plastic pollution affecting health and the environment. The panel emphasized ongoing education and community involvement to make environmental care a daily habit, not a one-time effort, urging public participation in cleanups.
Looking 15 years ahead, the panelists stated their vision is for St. Kitts and Nevis to lead in sustainable tourism, wellness retreats, and empowered communities thriving from a strong tourism economy.
Further, Mrs. Candice Grant-Charles, CEO, Our Modern Elegance, emphasized that everyone is part of the tourism product and vital to its success.
