The Joy Project officially launched in St. Kitts

 

“The Joy Project” was officially launched on Thursday December 5th. It is a non – profit organization founded by its Executive Director, Mrs. Diani Prince-Drew, the spouse of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minster, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew.

 

Mrs. Prince-Drew, a former diplomat of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and lawyer prepped for this project in July with the aim of reaching and empowering the most vulnerable members of our society, especially focusing on women and children.

 

Since its conception, one project that’s been carried out is its “Cool Schools Initiative” where fans are distributed to schools to create a more comfortable learning environment recognizing current climate challenges. So far fans have been distributed to the Challengers Day Care, Old Road Day Care, Sandy Point Preschool, Sandy Point Nursery, Newton Ground Day Care, St. Paul’s Preschool and Day Care, Dieppe Bay Day Care, Precious Gems Preschool and Keisha’s Kuddles Nursery.
