The lights are on in the Capital as Nevis enters another Festive Season
The lights are once again shining in the capital as Nevisian residents prepare to enjoy another festive season.
At the War Memorial Square in Charlestown, visitors can now admire bright, joyful displays after the Department of Community Development hosted “Christmas in the Capital” on the evening of December 3rd, 2025.
The ceremony featured a vibrant lineup of poetry, dance, music, and song, setting off a chain reaction of other Christmas tree lighting events in communities across the island.
Held under the patronage of Ms. Josette Myers, she was given the honour of the evening’s most anticipated moment — switching on the lights.
