“Christmas in the Capital” began the scenes of Christmas cheer as the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony took place on Wednesday night at the War Memorial Square in Charlestown.

Mrs. Gloria Anslyn had the special privilege of switching on the lights as the patron of this year’s ceremony, under the theme: “The Whole World Rejoices”.

The Hon. Spencer R. Brand, in his remarks commended the service and contributions of Mrs. Anslyn to the Nevisian community:

The next Christmas Tree Lightning will be held in the community of Brown Hill at the basketball court on December 9^th.
