Traffic Department announces slight change in traffic flow close to Gingerland Bus Stop

The Nevis’ Traffic Department has announced a slight change in the traffic flow, in Charlestown.

 

 

 

A notice from the Department says “DongFang Shop, opposite the Memorial Square next to the Gingerland Bus Stop in Charlestown, Nevis will be under construction for the duration of ten (10) months commencing Thursday January 18th.”

 

 

 

There will be a barrier erected around the perimeter of the said building to ensure the safety of all. In this regard, the road directly behind National Bank and the road that leads from the Public Market directly behind the Treasury/Inland Revenue building will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

 

 

 

In other news- Next Wednesday Janruary 24th, a free public session about the Nevis banjo, will be held at the Bath Hotel from 5-6pm.

 

 

 

Nevis Historical and Conservation Society (NHCS) stated Dr. Kevin Meehan will be the host for the event, which is especially for persons who are interested in Nevis’ String Band music.
