Traffic Enforcement Operation on Nevis leads to 29 Tickets issued
Officers from the Task Force Unit, the Traffic Department, and the Beat and Patrol Unit conducted a traffic enforcement operation along Samuel Hunkin’s Drive, Charlestown, on Monday March 3rd, between 6:50 a.m. and 7:52 a.m.
Twenty-nine (29) traffic tickets were issued for various offences, as a result of this initiative. They are: thirteen (13) tickets for driving without a seatbelt, ten (10) tickets for dark tinted windows, three (3) tickets for passengers not wearing seatbelts, two (2) tickets for children not wearing seatbelts and one (1) ticket for driving or keeping for use an unlicensed vehicle.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force urged motorists to comply with traffic regulations, “including the proper use of seatbelts and maintaining legal vehicle conditions, to prevent penalties and enhance overall road safety.”
The Force said it will continue “its efforts to enhance road safety through targeted traffic enforcement operations.”
