Nevis’ Minister with responsibility for Water Services, Hon. Spencer Brand. His comment was made on Tuesday (Mar. 26th) in relation to the NIA’s (Nevis Island Administration) $5 million project Water Drilling Project.

It is the Government’s hope that by the end of the 2nd quarter of 2024, that the drilling is completed for the first three wells.

The Government plans to drill six wells in total. Before selecting the Water & Oil Company, the NIA invited other bids from a few companies:

According to the Minister, upon completion, the NIA is expecting “over 1 million gallons of additional water placed online on Nevis.”
