One of the most popular events, the Culturama 49 TDC Senior Kaiso Contest, has already started to bring a buzz to the Nevisian public, as the island prepares itself for the next staging of the Culturama Festival.

Eliminations for the contest took place on July 9th, 2023 at Mem’s Pizzeria. A total of 16 senior Calypsonians competed for the 12 coveted spots to take them into the semifinals of the competition.

The 12 semifinalists are: King Dis and Dat, Nutsy, Empress Lyric, De Undertaker, King Hollywood, Invincible, Murray, Bad Man Polo, Lady Composer, Baker, Sookie and Akedo.

The semifinals will take place in the form of the “Kaiso Fiesta” on Sunday, July 23rd, 2023 at the David Freeman Center of Excellence, at 7pm.
