Police are appealing to the public for assistance following a robbery at a Chinese supermarket in Trafalgar Village, St. Kitts.
According to a press release from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, the incident occurred on June 3rd, at approximately 9:43 pm where a masked individual entered the establishment with what appeared to be a firearm.
He was described as a slim built male wearing a black mask, black gloves, a maroon and black jacket and brown pants. The bandit stole an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise before fleeing the scene and no injuries were reported.
Surveillance footage has been reviewed from the supermarket. The matter is under active investigation.
Meantime, the following day, another robbery took place at Panda Chinese Supermarket on Upper Market Street on June 4th.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 pm. Lawmen say the male is an unknown male described to be wearing a baby blue t-shirt, dark jeans, and a black helmet and appeared to be holding a firearm.
The assailant fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash in a black and white bag. Investigations into the matter are ongoing. These robberies come as the annual St. Kitts Music Festival is slated to be held from June 26th to the 28th.
