Two sentenced to prison in connection with 2018 home invasion of Oualie Beach Hotel’s owner

Mikey Mills and Patrice Monzack, both of Newcastle, Nevis, have been sentenced to His Majesty’s Prison, in connection with the 2018 robbery of the owner of Oualie Beach Hotel.

Each male received a sentence of nine (9) years for the offence of Wounding with Intent, and seven (7) years for the offence of Burglary. These sentences correspond with the November 8th 2018 robbery of John Yearwood.

 

 

 

During the home invasion, Mr. Yearwood was shot when two armed masked assailants entered his home at Jones Estate.

 

 

 

The two were reported to have been shot by Mr. Yearwood. They were hospitalized with gunshot wounds. Initially, four persons were detained by Police in connection with the incident.

 

 

 

The sentences for Mr. Mills and Mr. Monzack will run concurrently for each, starting from the remand date of July 18th 2023
