Thursday, March 14th saw the unveiling of fully furnished, climate-smart model homes in Conaree and Taylor’s, St. Kitts.

Through a collaboration between East Coast Housing Development Ltd and the National Housing Corporation (NHC), these marked a progressive move by the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration in a gesture, the keys to these homes were handed over to individuals namely Shamarah Huggins of Conaree and Belinda Buchanan of Taylor’s.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Federal Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew and Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley who also serves as Minister of Human Settlement. Chief Executive Officer of East Coast Housing Development Ltd, Bryan Singh and representatives from NHC.

In a statement, Prime Minister Drew stated “We not only witness the fulfillment of a shared vision for sustainable living but also celebrate the hope and joy these homes bring to their new owners”.
