In a notice published on April 16th, 2026, the Ministry of National Security, Citizenship and Immigration in St. Kitts and Nevis has issued a final reminder to undocumented residents that the Special Immigration Order 2025 will expire on May 1st, 2026.

The initiative, introduced to provide a pathway for individuals without legal status to regularize their stay in the Federation, is nearing its deadline. Authorities are urging all affected persons to take immediate action to avoid potential legal consequences.

Officials are urging “individuals who have already initiated the regularization process but have not yet completed payment of the required fees are urged to settle the outstanding balance and complete the process on or before May 1st, 2026.”

The Ministry warned that persons who remain in the country without legal status after the deadline could face enforcement measures under existing immigration laws. As a result, residents are strongly encouraged to visit the Immigration Department promptly to complete all necessary procedures.

The Ministry expressed appreciation for public cooperation as the deadline nears.
