The Department of Consumer Affairs in St. Kitts has announced the maximum retail prices for unleaded gasoline effective July 24, 2026.
According to the department, motorists purchasing fuel at SOL Service Stations across St. Kitts and Nevis will pay a maximum retail price of $17.30 per gallon. At Delta Service Stations in St. Kitts, the maximum retail price is set at $16.38 per gallon.
These price changes come just one day after new unleaded gasoline prices were announced on July 23rd. While the SOL Price had remained unchanged from the previous publication, the Delta fuel price increased by 36 cents from $16.02. For the current publication the SOL Price increased by 0.88 cents from $16.42.
The VON Newsline spoke with an official from the Ministry of Finance, who explained that updates to fuel prices are issued after service stations submit requests for new prices based on recently received fuel shipments. These requests are reviewed and approved by the Ministry before the revised prices are announced.
The Ministry noted that the timely publication of updated fuel prices is intended to keep the public informed as quickly as possible when price adjustments are approved.
The announced prices reflect the 50 percent reduction on the Excise Tax and Customs Service Charge.
