Countries across the globe used Friday, December 1st, to pay homage to victims of AIDS on World AIDS Day.
According to the World Health Organization, World AIDS Day is an opportunity to reflect on the progress made to date, raise awareness about the challenges that remain to achieve the goals of ending AIDS by 2030 and mobilize all stakeholders to jointly redouble efforts to ensure the success of the HIV response.
Being led by the theme ‘Let communities lead’, the Ministry of Health has involved the public in a number of activities including health screening and informative sessions.
