Visitors Spending in St. Kitts Up 21 Percent for First Quarter of 2026

St. Kitts’ tourism sector continues to show strong growth, with Federal Minister of Tourism, et. al., the Hon. Marsha Henderson reporting increased visitor spending, expanded airlift, and record cruise arrivals as the federation strengthens its position as a leading Caribbean destination.

 

Speaking during a tourism press conference on May 28th, Henderson revealed the number of air passengers which arrived in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025.

 

 

The government also highlighted expanded regional and international connectivity through Inter Caribbean Airways and ongoing discussions with regional carriers to improve air travel access.

 

Meanwhile, the cruise sector has rebounded strongly, with St. Kitts welcoming more than 918,000 cruise passengers to date, marking the destination’s strongest post-pandemic performance. Investments in airport upgrades such as baggage carousels, cruise infrastructure, and niche tourism markets for example golf tourism were also outlined as part of the country’s long-term tourism development strategy.
