St. Kitts and Nevis will join the rest of the world in celebration of World Water Day on March 22^nd 2021.

According to unwater .org, World Water Day is about taking action to tackle the water crisis. 2.2 billion people use a source of drinking water contaminated with faeces, putting them at risk of contracting diseases cholera, dysentery, typhoid and polio. In St. Kitts, the Water Services Department has organized a week of activities in commemoration of the day.

Speaking on the “Working for You” program on Wednesday Mar. 17^th, Hydrogeologist and Acting Water Engineer at the Water Services Department (WSD), Mr. Cromwell Williams, elaborated on some of the activities the Department will host in celebration of World Water Day.
