St. Kitts & Nevis joined the rest of the world in celebrating World Food Day 2024 (WFD). It is an international day celebrated every year on October 16th, to commemorate the date of the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 1945. The goal of WFD is to bring attention to and taking action against global hunger and malnutrition.
In light of the 2024 theme: “Right to foods for a better life and a better future”, Deputy Premier of Nevis and Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. Eric Evelyn, mentioned:
Minister of Agriculture, Eric Evelyn. Minister of Agriculture-St. Kitts, the Hon. Samal Duggins, stated how important Agriculture is, to ensure everyone has adequate food.
