What is Nevis’ Department of Agriculture doing to address the Donkey- Monkey problem?

Donkeys and Monkeys continue to pose a threat to crops and in essence, livelihoods in St. Kitts and Nevis, for example: farmers.

 

But what exactly is being done to remove or alleviate this threat? During the March 20th edition of the Nevis Island Administration’s (NIA) “Government at Work” program on VON Radio, Director of the Department of Agriculture-Nevis, Mr. Randy Elliott, explained what is in the pipeline:

 

When asked about possible importation of donkeys or monkeys to nearby Caribbean countries for instance, whether for consumption or otherwise, this was Mr. Elliott’s response:
