Federal Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. Alexis Jeffers reported increases in yields of local produce such as tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, melons, squash and sweet potatoes, as well as increase in the preparation of lands for agricultural purposes in 2020 compared to yields in 2019.
Since his appointment to the post of Federal Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine resources, Minister Jeffers made visits to 12 farms in St Kitts to assess the measures to be taken to improve the sector in St. Kitts on July 14th 2020.
Given the increase of yielding of crops in Nevis and reassuring Nevis’ food security, can similar results be expected for St. Kitts?
