Will Travel Advisories be in place for Countries where other COVID Variants are present? 

St. Kitts and Nevis recently announced that it had extended travel advisories for the United Kingdom (UK), Brazil and South Africa due to the presence of more transmissible COVID-19 Variants. 

 

However, countries such as the United States, Jamaica and Barbados have already confirmed cases of those variants and have not issued travel advisories. 

 

Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Hazel Laws addressed why travel advisories have not been issued for other countries, considering these three (3) Variants that are already in the Caribbean:
