In celebration of 11 years of service to the Nevisian community, the Department of Community Development, Nevis, held a slogan competition for Community Development Month.

This event is held in May of each year.

The 2025 slogan is: “Together We Grow, Together We Thrive – Our Community, Our Pride” created by K-jel Smithen, a resident of Cotton Ground Village in the St. Thomas’ Parish.

In congratulating Smithen, the department said via social media: “your words will inspire unity and progress all month long.”

The department also showed gratitude to all who participated in the competition. Furthermore, Mr. Smithen won a prize in the amount of $250.
