Woman charged with importation of Cannabis & Ecstasy

A woman has been charged with seven (7) offences in connection with the importation of Cannabis (Marijuana) and Methamphetamine (or Ecstasy). Ecstasy is a stimulant drug that can cause hallucinations.

Aniyah Fagan of Buckley’s Courtyard, Basseterre, St. Kitts, was charged with the following offences by the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs and Excise Department:

Importation of Cannabis, Importation of Ecstasy, Importation of Cannabis in a Manner Intended to Deceive a Custom Officer, Importation of Methamphetamine (“Ecstasy”) to Deceive Customs Officer, Importation of Restricted Goods to Wit Cannabis and Knowingly attempting to Fraudulently Evade a Customs Officer, Importation of Ecstasy and Knowingly Attempting to Fraudulently Evade a Customs Officer Submitting False Documents.

A police communique said the offences were committed on Thursday Mar. 20th, at Bird Rock. Ms. Fagan was charged at the Basseterre Police Station on Thursday Mar. 27th.

 

 

 

Meantime- Jarren Trotman of Zetlands, Nevis, has been arrested and charged for the offences of Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply and Obstruction. The offences were committed on Wednesday Mar. 19th at Mr. Trotman’s premises. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant by officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF). The search led to the discovery of a quantity of vegetable material that was later confirmed to be cannabis.

The Crime Scene Unit of the Police Force processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. Mr. Trotman was subsequently arrested and charged on Mar. 19th, at the Charlestown Police Station.
