Saturday, March 18th 2023, saw the execution of the Department of Gender Affairs (Nevis) and the Eden Brown Church of God Women of Worth Group’s Women Empowerment Day.

The event which took place at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park saw a number of different activities including an “I AM” visioning workshop and a “PlumHer Plumbing Competition. The workshop saw a number of facilitators and attendees engaged in sessions aimed at inspiring women to reach their full potential while the competition saw three women showcase their skills by assembling a functioning sink.

Present at the day’s proceedings and expressing pleasure in the department’s initiative was Minister of Gender Affairs, Hon, Jahnel Nisbett.

At the end of the competition, Kishaun Williams was awarded first Place, Ketanya Blidgen received second place and Nilisa Pemberton gained the position of third Place.
