“Disbursements in the amount of $500 are being deposited to the accounts of eligible persons” the Social Security Board (SSB) says.

The “Workers’ Bonus” (where non-civil servants are to receive EC $500) was one of several initiatives announced by the Prime Minister, during his 2024 budget address. This project is administered by the Social Security Board and funded by the Government of St. Kitts-Nevis.

Over a week ago, the Federal Government stated on Facebook, “the distribution of the WORKERS’ BONUS is currently in progress due to the high volume of recipients. This process may take a few days to complete.”

According to a press release from SSB, “the conditions of the Workers Bonus apply to persons who have worked: (26 weeks over a career history, resident worker, pensioner) with certain exclusions.”
