On February 4^th, Nevis marked World Cancer Day 2026 with a renewed call for residents to take charge of their health through early detection and regular screenings.

The VON Newsline spoke with Nadine Carty, Coordinator at the Nevis Health Promotion Unit, who shared local 2024 statistics which underline the need for vigilance.

Additionally, while the “Wear Your Color” campaign remains a visible symbol of support for those affected by cancer, Carty stressed that the real impact comes when communities act, get screened, and engage in preventive health measures.
