On Friday March 3rd, a World Obesity Day Relay will take place in the heart of Charlestown at 2:00 p.m.
The VON NEWSLINE recently spoke with Health Educator at the Nevis Health Promotion Unit, Ms. Shevanee Nisbett who went into detail of the teams that will be participating:
The routes for the road relay are: 1st leg – Best Buy entrance to the Charlestown Police Station; 2nd leg – Charlestown Police Station to the Courthouse or (old library); 3rd leg – the Courthouse to the entrance of the Pier or (iron shed); 4th leg – the Pier entrance along Samuel Hunkins Drive turning unto the road just before Octagon and 5th leg – the top of Octagon road going along Main Street ending at the Sir Simeon Daniel Bust (statue).
In light of the aforementioned, Ms. Nisbett gave this recommendation to the general public that frequent these routes:
