Today, October 9^th, nations around the world celebrate World Post Day 2025, to honour the establishment of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), 151 years ago in 1874.

The VON NEWSLINE spoke to Mr. Chris Clarke, Junior Clerk at the Nevis Post Office, who spoke on this year’s theme:

Meantime – Federal Minister of Posts, the Hon. Konris Maynard, as well as Nevis’ Minister of Posts, the Hon. Spencer Brand, shared similar sentiments in their messages recognizing World Posts Day 2025. They both highlighted the vital role of postal services in connecting communities and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to modernization, digital transformation, staff development and efficiency.
