St. Kitts & Nevis will join the world in celebrating World Post Day, which is observed each year on October 9th.
The event was declared by the 1969 Universal Postal Congress in Tokyo as a means to mark the anniversary of the Universal Postal Union’s (UPU) creation in 1874.
The aim of the day is to create awareness of the role of the postal sector in people’s and businesses everyday lives and its contribution to the social and economic development of countries.
